GTT grants outfitter license to Gabadi S.L.
At the 2014 SMM event in Hamburg, GTT and Gabadi S.L. signed a Technical Assistance and License Agreement (TALA), making Gabadi the first outfitter licensed by GTT.
Dedicated training
Gabadi received its outfitter's approval after successfully completing the qualification process including dedicated training of its employees by GTT and after having demonstrated their ability to build modules of all type of GTT membrane containment systems.
The Spanish outfitter will work on the construction of new ships, particularly for small LNG carriers and LNG bunkering projects. Gabadi and GTT will offer turnkey solutions on membrane type Liquid Gas Containment Systems to shipyards and ship owners.
Comments
"We are delighted to be the first outfitter having the Technical Service Agreement with GTT for the maintenance and refit work on all type of GTT Membrane. Today we are honored again to become the first promoter to achieve the TALA, recognizing our expertise and capabilities after a long effort and more than 10 years of work on GTT membrane containment systems. This would not have been possible without the invaluable collaboration of GTT," declared Antonio José Llago Hermida, Managing Director of Gabadi S.L.
"We are very happy to count Gabadi among our partners. This new kind of license will allow ship-owners and shipyards to call on qualified and trained outfitters, in order to reduce their investment while ensuring the excellence required by GTT," added Philippe Berterottière, Chairman and CEO of GTT.
