MAN Diesel & Turbo appoints new CEO
MAN Diesel & Turbo has appointed Dr. Uwe Lauber as the company’s new CEO.
Lauber will also assume the post of Executive Board Chairman at the company, with effect from 1 January 2015. Prior to this, 47-year-old Lauber was Head of the Business Unit Oil & Gas before becoming the Executive Board member responsible for Global Sales and After Sales. He joined the company in 2000.
“Dr. Lauber knows the company very well. He is committed to technological innovation and a complete focus on the customer. This makes him the perfect choice,” said Dr. Georg Pachta-Reyhofen, Chairman of the MAN Diesel & Turbo Supervisory Board. “He will also rejuvenate the Executive Board, signalling a new beginning for the company that is a jewel in the crown of German engineering.”
Commenting on his appointment, Labuer said: “MAN Diesel & Turbo is a company that always led the way – and it still does to this day in many areas. I look forward to continuing to extend this pioneering role together with my Executive Board colleagues and our 14,000-strong workforce.
