GTT to equip FSRU with Mark III cryogenic membrane containment system

Gaztransport & Technigaz (GTT) has announced that it has secured an order from Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) to equip a new floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) with its Mark III cryogenic membrane containment system.

There are currently four FSRUs constructed by HHI in service that feature the Mark III technology.

Philippe Berterottière, Chairman and CEO of GTT, said: “Thanks to its key partner HHI, GTT is very honoured to be part of the newbuilding programme of one of the leading FSRU providers Höegh LNG.

“This new order illustrates the confidence of the offshore industry in our LNG storage technology and our capability to respond to its requirements.”

PV Gas upgrades Thi Vai LNG terminal regasification capacity

Petrovietnam's gas subsidiary, PV GAS, has completed the capacity upgrade of the Thi Vai LNG terminal, raising its regasification output from 171 tpy to 288 tpy.
