LNG-Buy BC tool opens to pre-registration

The government of British Columbia has confirmed that the LNG-Buy BC online tool is now available for pre-registration at the LNG-Buy BC web site.
The online tool is designed to connect local businesses in British Columbia (B.C.) with international LNG proponents, as well as ensure that the province’s LNG-related businesses are in line for the potential of the LNG industry. It will also help support the promotion and marketing of B.C. companies to global businesses for both export opportunities and for foreign direct investment projects.
Once the entire online platform has been launched later this year, the LNG-Buy BC tool will serve as a valuable resource for LNG proponents to network with B.C. businesses.
The government of British Columbia is encouraging all B.C. businesses interested in pursuing LNG opportunities to pre-register using the online tool. Early registration ensures that when the online tool is launched, B.C. can showcase the full range of services and capabilities B.C. businesses have to offer.
The LNG-Buy BC program has provided supplier boot camps and RFP seminars to more than 300 B.C. companies to date. These free workshops help companies better understand the procurement opportunities and processes associated with serving major LNG projects.
Shirley Bond, Minister of Jobs, Tourism and Skills Training and Minister Responsible for Labour, said: “LNG-Buy BC is focused on ensuring B.C. businesses have the right tools they need to connect with the incredible opportunity the LNG industry offers. When the online registry was demonstrated at the recent LNG conference in Vancouver, it was exciting to hear extremely positive feedback. We’re encouraged to see businesses already pre-registering for the LNG-Buy BC tool, ensuring it will be an effective way to connect B.C.-based companies with LNG proponents.”
