Trelleborg’s marine systems operation is sponsoring the Terminal Automation and Training C-Level Networking Conference 2017 in London (19– 20 April).
Port Technology International follows up the success of the 2016 event with a larger second annual meeting. The Terminal Automation and Training C-Level Networking Conference 2017 will bring together thought leaders in the automation and training sectors of the port industry to discuss the stages of terminal automation, implications on port staff training and the need for simulation to facilitate this.
Richard Hepworth, President of Trelleborg’s marine systems operation, said: “The marine industry is at a crucial point in its journey towards a more efficient, automated future. We want Trelleborg to be at the heart of it. We’re looking forward to discussing the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead with some of the biggest names in port and terminal automation.”
Richard will participate in two panel discussions over the course of the conference: ‘Supply Chain Collaboration and Automation’ and ‘Beyond moves per hour and terminals of the future’.
Speaking to this partnership announcement, James AA Khan, Managing Director at Port Technology, said: “We are delighted to welcome Trelleborg as a key partner, bringing leadership in automation in port approach, vessel turnaround and departure, and the docking, mooring and transfer processes in between.”
