LNG Industry,
According to Reuters, LNG Limited has announced that it is delaying its decision on whether to proceed with its US-based Magnolia LNG facility due to uncertainty created by the US-China trade war.
LNG Limited had reportedly been aiming to make a final investment decision (FID) on the proposed Magnolia LNG facility by the end of 2018, however this decision has been delayed until early 2019. The postponement was made necessary by the company encountering difficulties in securing customers in China, in light of the US-China trade war.
LNG Limited shares have fallen 29% as a result of this delay.
Magnolia LNG is designed to produce 8 million tpy of LNG.
