Severgroup and Gazprom to cooperate on Russian LNG projects

Alexey Mordashov, Director General of Severgroup, and Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, recently signed an Agreement of Cooperation at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum 2018.
The document aims to implement Gazprom's promising projects for natural gas processing, liquefaction, and field development on the continental shelf, as well as efficiency enhancements to long-distance gas transmission.
In particular, the parties will reportedly cooperate in adopting and localising LNG plant construction technologies within Russia and creating equipment for such infrastructure, as well as designing domestic innovative materials for offshore field pre-development.
The cooperation will also extend to the creation of Russian materials and technologies, helping reduce capital investments in the construction of linear gas pipelines and compressor stations and increasing the energy efficiency of their operation.
