GTT has received an order from the Sembcorp Marine shipyard concerning the tank design of an LNG bunker vessel for the ship-owner Indah Singa Maritime Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL).
GTT will design the tanks of the vessel, which will be fitted with the Mark III Flex membrane containment system, a technology developed by GTT. The vessel will offer a total cargo tank capacity of 12 000 m3. It is due for delivery during the 1H21.
Philippe Berterottière, Chairman and CEO of GTT, declared: “We are very pleased to receive this first order from Sembcorp Marine less than one year after signing a license agreement. This new LNG bunker vessel project strengthens our aspirations for the development of the use of LNG as a marine fuel and further demonstrates the relevance of GTT technologies for this type of application.”
