Congressmen launch LNG export caucus
Congressmen Blake Farenthold and Filemon Vela have launched the bipartisan LNG Export Caucus, to help the development and timely export of LNG.
The caucus hopes to encourage a rational regulatory environment that ensures the production and exportation of LNG, as well as the creation of jobs to help the economy.
Farenthold commented: “LNG is the future of clean and efficient energy – and ultimately a game-changer for our economy. Considering the abundant supply in our backyard, there is no reason why we shouldn’t be capitalising on its exportation to create good paying jobs in the oil patch and beyond. We need to strike while the iron is hot. LNG exports will provide net economic benefits to the US, including the creation of thousands of American jobs. As a Co-Chair of the LNG Export Caucus we are seeking to promote responsible development and timely exportation of LNG encourage a regulatory environment that promotes the production and exportation of LNG.”
