Shell’s Prelude, a giant floating facility that will liquefy natural gas at sea, will produce approximately 5.3 million tpy of liquids (3.6 million tpy of LNG, 0.4 milion tpy of liquefied petroleum gas, 1.3 million tpy condensate). The vessel is designed to operate and stay safely moored in even the more extreme weather conditions.
Monadelphous Group Ltd will provide maintenance for the project as well as brownfield modifications, support utilities, and hull and non-process infrastructure, after receiving a long-term services contract worth an estimated AUS$200 million.
