Keel-laying ceremony held for LNG bunker vessel

This follows the steel-cutting ceremony, which was held in March this year. The vessel is being constructed for the new energy brand Elenger, formerly known as Eesti Gaas.
With a 6000 m3 capacity, the bunker vessel will play a significant role in facilitating the adoption of LNG by providing efficient ship-to-ship distribution services for a variety of LNG vessel types in the Baltic region. Following sea trials in spring next year, the vessel will arrive in Estonia next summer, and will start serving LNG clients in the autumn, carrying out bunker activities at designated locations both in and outside of ports. Currently, Elenger relies on road tankers to refuel Tallink’s LNG-powered Megastar ferry, which runs between Tallinn and Helsinki.
