Japanese power companies' December LNG consumption rises

Reuters are reporting that Japanese power companies consumed 5.20 million t of LNG for power generation in December, up 7.7% from a year ago, reflecting a rise in power demand.
Compared to the month before, LNG usage by the power companies increased by 21.9%.
LNG purchases by power companies in December were at 5.07 million t – showing a decline of 0.9% on year and an increase of 8.1% compared to the previous month.
