Amec Foster Wheeler appoints new CEO

Amec Foster Wheeler has announced that Dr Jonathan Lewis has been appointed CEO. On the day that Lewis will commence his new role – 1 June 2016 – Ian McHoul will cease to be interim CEO. Nonetheless, McHoul will continue to serve as CFO.
Since 1996, Lewis has served in a number of senior roles at Halliburton Co. He is presently based in Houston, Texas, US, where he serves as the Senior Vice President and member of the Halliburton Executive Committee. Since 2014, he has had responsibility for leading the Completion & Production division.
Previously, Lewis has also served as the leader of the Europe/Sub-Saharan Africa Region and the Drilling Evaluation Division.
The Chairman of Amec Foster Wheeler, John Connolly, said: “I am delighted that Jon will soon be joining us as our new CEO. He brings with him thirty years of experience in the oil and gas industry across many parts of the world, including twenty years as a senior executive at Halliburton where he built a reputation for safe and ethical operations, strategic market insight, strong leadership, commercial discipline and consistently delivered against commitments.”
