Yamal LNG reaches new milestone

Yamal LNG has announced that it has reached a new milestone, having shipping its 30 millionth tonne of LNG since the project commenced operations.

The Nikolay Yevgenov Arc7 ice-class tanker loaded the 411th cargo as the project reached 30 million t of LNG dispatched since the startup of Train 1 in December 2017.

According to the statement, the project produced 18.4 millon t of LNG last year, exceeding its design capacity of just 16.5 million tpy. Last year was reportedly the first full year of simultaneous operation of all three liquefaction trains.

GTT receives order from Hanwha Ocean for seven new LNG carriers

GTT has received an order from the shipyard Hanwha Ocean for the tank design of seven new LNG carriers on behalf of a European shipowner.
