Rederi AB Gotland has announced that it has signed a contract with GSI Shipyard in China for an additional passenger and cargo ship.
The company has exercised its option to order a sister vessel to accompany the first vessel, whose contracts were published in autumn 2014.
Both vessels will be operated with LNG. During the design process, work has been devoted to creating optimal hull lines with the best possible energy consumption and environmental impact.
The two LNG-fuelled vessels are scheduled for delivery in 2017 and by 2018.
