Kobe Steel receives screw compressor order

The compressors will be installed on an LNG carrier that will be built by Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME), and owned by a 50-50 joint venture (JV) between Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) and Itochu Corp. The compressors are scheduled for delivery to DSME in August 2017.
A subsidiary of Uniper SE – Uniper Global Commodities SE – will charter the vessel for a 20-year period.
Kobe Steel has also received an additional order for one reciprocating compressor for boil-off gas (BOG) reliquefaction. This compressor will be installed on the same vessel.
