Australia’s LNG projects select new Rotork valve actuation
Giant LNG projects in Australia have selected Rotork flow control products to be used in applications developing coal seam gas (CSG) in Queensland’s Surat and Bowen Basins. Queensland Curtis LNG, Santos GLNG and Australia Pacific LNG will use hundreds of kilometers of pipelines to link natural gas production wells on the mainland to a world-class LNG production plant on Curtis Island, with a projected initial production of more than 27 million tpy in LNG exports.
HART-enabled Rotork CVA modulating electric actuators will be used for process valve control in the upstream wellheads on mainland Queensland. Rotork has received orders for these valve actuators at an eventual total of 2000 sites.
