Worthington announces new Presidents

Worthington Industries Inc. has released a statement claiming that Geoff Gilmore has been appointed President of Pressure Cylinders, and that John Lamprinakos will become President of Steel Processing (effective 1 June 2016).

The Chairman and CEO of the company, John McConnell, said: “I am very pleased to be announcing these leadership moves as I have every confidence in Geoff and John.

"The record results in Steel Processing speak for themselves and I know Geoff's leadership will have a positive impact on our cylinders business. He is excited to take on this next assignment.

"After leading our WAVE joint venture for a number of years, John took over a struggling Engineered Cabs business and has guided that organisation through challenging markets and has put it on a solid improvement track. His experience in various leadership roles throughout our company has prepared him well for this role."

Gilmore has worked with the company since 1998, serving as General Manager at the Delta, Ohio, US, steel facility, and as the Head of Purchasing for Worthington Industries. In August 2012, he was named President of Worthington Steel.

Lamprinakos, meanwhile, has worked with Worthington since 1979. He officially became President of Engineered Cabs in July 2013, and previously served as the leader of the WAVE joint venture (JV) with Armstrong for nine years.

Worthington claims that it will name its leader for Engineered Cabs in the near future. In January 2016, a leadership change was announced at Pressure Cylinders, and Mark Russell – the President and COO – has served as the interim President since then.
