LNG Industry,
According to Reuters, Enarsa – the Argentinian state-run energy company – has bought six cargoes of LNG as part of a recent tender from Gunvor, Vitol, Iberdrola and Trafigura.
Reportedly, Trafigura and Gunvor will provide one LNG cargo each. Vitol, meanwhile, will provide an additional three cargoes, one of which is earmarked for Escobar’s river terminal on the Parana River. Ibedrola will also deliver an LNG cargo to Escobar. Vitol’s other two cargoes, as well as the two cargoes belonging to Trafigura and Gunvor, will all be delivered to the Bahia Blanca terminal.
Reuters reports that all of the cargoes’ transaction levels were concluded at over US$6/million Btu. The Escobar cargoes reportedly came at a premium because of complicated technical requirements.
