GTT has received an order from the Korean shipyard Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries (HSHI) for the design of the LNG tanks of two new 174 000 m3 LNG carriers (LNGCs). These vessels will be built on behalf of a European shipowner.

GTT will design the LNG tanks of both units, each equipped with the Mark III Flex containment system. They are expected to be delivered in 2020.

Philippe Berterottière, Chairman and CEO of GTT, said: “We are very pleased to receive these two orders from HSHI. It demonstrates the shipyard’s confidence in our technologies and illustrates our strong partnership as well.”
