INPEX signs gas SPA with Nihonkai Gas

INPEX Corp. has released a statement claiming that it has signed a natural gas sales and purchase agreement (SPA) with Nihonkai Gas Co. Ltd.
The gas will be supplied from INPEX’s Naoetsu LNG terminal in Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture, Japan, using the Toyama Line pipeline. The pipeline is still currently under construction, but will extend from Itoigawa City in Niigata Prefecture to Toyama City in Toyama Prefecture. It will be approximately 103 km long, and is expected to commence operations in mid-2016. Construction of the pipeline began in April 2012.
