EGAT closes tender to buy its first LNG

Reuters is reporting that the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) has closed a spot tender deal to import its first cargoes of LNG.
The company’s tender has secured two LNG cargoes of 65 000 t each. The cargoes are set for delivery in December 2019 and April 2020.
The company is reportedly seeking government approval for the purchase and importation of one additional LNG spot cargo.
