LNG Industry,
The Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG) project has announced that it will defend itself from court action from Tri-Star entities. Tri-Star has served APLNG with a statement of claim, in regard to the sale and purchase deed that was entered in 2002 between Tri-Star and Oil Company of Australia Ltd (now APLNG).
In a statement, APLNG said: “Tri-Star asserts in its statement of claim that reversion has occurred. Australia Pacific LNGis firmly of the view that reversion has not occurred and intends to strongly defend the action.”
In the release, APLNG went on to reaffirm the project’s continuing success, as commissioning activity on Train 1 on Curtis Island is progressing, and the project remains on schedule for delivering its first LNG cargo by the end of 2015.
