PDO concludes contract with MAN Diesel & Turbo

Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) has concluded a comprehensive service contract with MAN Diesel & Turbo for the long-term servicing of 50 turbocompressors in Oman.
Additionally, MAN Diesel & Turbo is investing in the construction of a service shop for Turbomachinery repairs in the capital Muscat.
Raoul Restucci, Managing Director of PDO, stated: “It is a real privilege and it’s wonderful to see the commitment shown to our industry and to Oman. It is In- Country-Value in action, delivering a huge opportunity with world-class capabilities and with established partners we know so well, OHI and MAN Diesel and Turbo.”
Dr. Uwe Lauber, CEO of MAN Diesel & Turbo, commented: “Investment in the construction of a further service shop in the region will enable us to offer PDO even better local service as a respected customer. At the same time, we are extending our presence in the Middle East and strengthening our service capacity in a region characterised by oil and gas production."
In addition to consultancy services and spare parts provision, the service agreement also includes the long-term deployment of experienced MAN field service staff and local Omani staff on a permanent basis at various sites of PDO.
