FERC approves Venture Global request to begin Calcasieu LNG site preparation

The US$4.5 billion LNG export terminal is located in Louisiana, US, and is designed to produce approximately 10 million tpy of LNG (approximately 1.3 billion ft3/d of natural gas).
This facility is just one of a number of export terminals that companies are looking to construct in Canada, the US and Mexico over the course of the next decade.
According to Reuters, Venture Global expects the facility to enter service in 2022, and its 20 million tpy Plaquemines LNG export facility (also in Louisiana) to enter service in 2023.
