Gazprom and Belarus discuss gas sector cooperation
The Chairman of Gazprom’s Management Committee, Alexey Miller, recently held a working meeting with Vladimir Semashko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, at Gazprom’s headquarters. The two parties discussed ongoing cooperation in the gas sector.
During the meeting, held at Gazprom’s headquarters, it was noted that Gazprom provided a reliable gas supply to Belarus. In the first seven months of this year, the company supplied 10.3 billion m3 of gas to the country. During this period, a total of 24.2 billion m3 of gas was transmitted to consumers in the CIS, Europe, and the Kaliningrad Region.
Gazprom confirmed that it is continuing to prepare the Belarusian gas transmission system for operation in the upcoming autumn/winter period. Among other things, gas injection into underground gas storage facilities is proceeding according to schedule.
