Cosmodyne has announced that it has been selected by Eagle LNG Partners to provide a natural gas liquefier for a new plant in Jacksonsville, Florida, US. The liquefier will feature Cosmodyne’s nitrogen refrigeration technology.

The plant, which is being built to meet growing demand for LNG as marine fuel in southeast US, will be capable of decreasing or increasing production depending on the market, whilst retaining energy efficiency.

The Vice President of Engineering at Eagle LNG, David Stevenson, said: “Eagle LNG evaluated various supply options and we are pleased with our decision to partner with Cosmodyne.

“Cosmodyne demonstrated the unique benefits of their technology, including the simplicity and flexibility of operating their system. Equally important is Cosmodyne’s commitment and dedication to work with us as a true, long-term project partner.”

The General Manager of Cosmodyne, George Pappagelis, said: “Eagle LNG is an innovative leader in the micro-liquefaction industry. We are honoured to have been chosen by them for their newest project.”

“We will provide a reliable and cost-effective system that satisfies the unique needs of the new market it will serve, providing ships with LNG fuel.
