Oil Search announces board changes

Oil Search has announced that Fiona Harris has resigned as a Non-Executive Director of Oil Search in order to focus on her full recovery from a recent health issue.

Commenting on the resignation, Chairman Rick Lee said: "On behalf of the Board, I would like to acknowledge the valuable service Fiona has provided to the Board of Oil Search since her appointment as a Director in March 2013. In particular, the Board and the Company have benefited greatly from Fiona's considerable financial and governance expertise. I would like to sincerely thank Fiona for her role in the company's achievements during her time as a Director and wish Fiona a speedy recovery to full health."

Oil Search also confirmed that Dr Eileen Doyle will be appointed as a Non-Executive Director of the company, with effect from 18 February 2016, to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Ms Harris.

Dr Doyle is a director of GPT Group Ltd and Boral Ltd and Deputy Chairman of CSIRO. She has previously served on a number of other boards including Bradken Ltd, OneSteel Ltd, Steel & Tube Ltd New Zealand, Port Waratah Coal Services and Newcastle Port Corp.

Dr Doyle also serves on the boards of Hunter Valley Research Foundation and Knights Rugby League Pty Ltd and is a member of the NSW Council of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Rick Lee said: "We are very pleased to welcome Eileen to the Oil Search Board. The collective capabilities of the Board will be enhanced by Eileen's extensive operational experience and expertise in corporate governance and strategic analysis. We are delighted that we will be able to call on these talents."
