Swift to support LNG projects in British Columbia
Swift Worldwide Resources, the premier supplier of manpower resources to the oil and gas industry, has expanded its North American presence by opening an office in Terrace, British Columbia.
LNG projects currently under construction in Kitimat, Prince Rupert, and the surrounding areas led to the new branch's opening. In Terrace, Swift will be strategically located to staff permanent and contract positions in engineering, pipeline and safety.
"The oil and gas industry is in a very exciting position in British Columbia," commented Swift CEO Tobias Read. "It's an emerging sector here, and we feel very lucky to have been welcomed into the Terrace community so warmly. We're proud to use our staffing expertise to help develop the market in the area."
Katja Lenihan, who moved from her previous Account Development Manager position in Swift's office in Perth, Australia, will be heading the new branch as Regional Manager.
