Former Golar LNG CEO appointed to Methanex board of directors

Methanex Corp. has announced that Doug Arnell – the former CEO of Golar LNG (2010 – 2015) – has joined the company’s board of directors, effective 1 October 2016. Methanex provides methanol to major international markets, and is based in Vancouver, Canada.
Whilst Arnell is no longer the CEO of Golar LNG, he continues to act as a Senior Advisor and director to that company. Furthermore, in 2015, he founded Helm Energy Advisors, which provides consulting and advisory services to the global energy sector. He is also a director of Veresen Inc., and, prior to Golar, held senior positions at both BG Group and El Paso Europe.
