Dynagas charters nine LNG carriers for the Yamal LNG project

Dynagas Holding Ltd is the sponsor of Dynagas LNG hipping fleet in order to support Yamal deliveries to Asian buyers. Each of these existing ARC4 LNG carriers will be chartered for 15 years.
The ARC7 LNG carriers will be built at the Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co. Ltd (DSME) shipyard in South Korea. Specifically, they will be 172 000 m3 in size, and be able to break 2.1 m of ice when going either forwards or backwards.
The Yamal LNG project, which is a joint venture amongst Total (20%), China National Oil & Gas Exploration and Development Corp. (CNODC) (20%) and Novatek (60%), will use three LNG trains and is scheduled to begin in 2017. Additionally, China’s Silk Road is looking to purchase a 9.9% share of the project from Novatek. These LNG trains will have an overall capacity of approximately 16.5 million tpy of LNG.
