Tohoku Electric agrees LNG purchase deal with Mozambique LNG

According to the latest Reuters report, Japan’s Tohoku Electric Power Co. have signed a contract to purchase up to 280 000 tpy of LNG from the Mozambique LNG project for 15 years.
The contracted deliveries will commence from the start of production, currently forecast for the early 2020s, on a delivered ex-ship (DES) basis.
This agreement is the first long term supply contract agreed by Tohoku Electric with a project from continental Africa.
