Eni claims that the agreement covers cooperation in oil and gas exploration and production activities, as well as gas and LNG value chain opportunities, trading and logistics opportunities, and refining and petrochemicals. This partnership regards both Chinese and overseas activities.
The agreement was signed at Eni’s headquarters in Rome, Italy, during a meeting between the company’s CEO, Claudio Descalzi, and the Chairman of CNPC, Wang Yilin.
Eni claims that the meeting was a chance to further strengthen the relationship between both parties, and provided an opportunity to talk about ongoing joint projects, as well as future opportunities across the energy value chain.
