Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS) has announced its 2Q15 financial results and anticipates ‘tougher times ahead’.
President and Group CEO of PETRONAS, Datuk Wan Zulkiflee Wan Ariffin, said: “Overall, it has been an unrelenting difficult period, but with tenacity and discipline in sticking to our business strategies, PETRONAS has persevered and continues to show resilience. The next phases, however, will really test the organisation’s stamina and endurance.”
For 2Q15, profits after tax were down by 3%, to RM11.1 billion, and this was primarily due to lower LNG prices and volumes.
