Chevron signs new gas agreement with GS Caltex

Chevron U.S.A. Inc. has announced that it has signed a sales and purchase agreement (SPA) with GS Caltex Corp. for the delivery of LNG to South Korea from Chevron’s global supply portfolio.

As a joint venture (JV) between Chevron and GS Energy, GS Caltex has signed a long-term agreement and will begin receiving LNG in October this year.

Hugh Connett, Chevron’s President of Global Gas, said: “We’re proud of our partnership with GS Caltex and we welcome this opportunity to build on that relationship by supplying LNG to South Korea’s growing market.”

According to the statement, Chevron has an existing LNG SPA with GS Caltex that was signed in 2009.

Baker Hughes to supply main liquefaction equipment for Rio Grande LNG expansion

Baker Hughes has been selected by Bechtel Energy Inc. to supply main liquefaction equipment for Train 4 of NextDecade’s Rio Grande LNG facility in the Port of Brownsville, Texas.
