NextDecade Global Solutions – a subsidiary of NextDecade LLC – and Flex LNG have signed a heads of agreement (HoA) to create a full value chain solution for customers seeking to buy LNG from NextDecade’s Rio Grande LNG project, which is located in Brownsville, Texas, US.

Initially, both companies will develop a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) and dockside solutions for NextDecade’s international customers, with NextDecade also providing the LNG supplies.

Kathleen Eisbrenner, NextDecade Chair and CEO, said: “Global interest for NextDecade’s US-produced LNG has demonstrated a need for additional and flexible import solutions worldwide […] We are delighted to be partnering with Flex LNG to bring these options to support our customers.”

The HoA sets out the specific terms for the long-term charter of Flex LNG FSRUs.
