Gazprom and Kogas sign LNG agreement

Gazprom has announced that Alexey Miller, the Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and Lee Seung-hun, the President and CEO of Kogas, have signed an agreement of cooperation.

Specifically, both parties have agreed to broaden their cooperation in the field of LNG supplies from the Russian Federation to South Korea.

Furthermore, the agreement reflects both companies’ plans to establish joint LNG production, transportation and regasification projects, as well as gas-fired power generation projects.

The agreement also sets out the key areas of cooperation. These include research and development, energy efficiency, environmental protection and the natural gas vehicles (NGV) sector.
