HIMA has released a statement claiming that it has invested approximately €3.1 million in a modern enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution from IFS. IFS Applications 9 software will be used by HIMA as a central ERP system in order to unify the company’s global business procedures and processes. It will replace a number of stand-alone systems.

The Vice President Operations at HIMA, Stefan Hintenlang, said: “We were looking for a global solution with deep functionality for all of our branches, and IFS Applications 9 meets that need. Among other things, we are impressed by the intuitive user interface and high flexibility of the software.

“The ERP system will help us enhance the transparency and continuity of our business processes, and it is an important component of our growth strategy.”

Once the rollout has been completed, the solution will help to map the company’s entire value creation chain, from production planning and control, to logistics, maintenance, financial management, HR, service management, quality management, etc.

The Vice President Sales & Marketing IFS Europe Central, Peter Höhne, added: “IFS Applications 9 is specifically designed to give global enterprises a clear view of their core processes.

“We are convinced that HIMA will benefit enormously from IFS’s support for their production, logistics and financial management activities.”
