Norton Rose Fulbright expands energy team

Legal practice Norton Rose Fulbright has expanded its Houston office with the appointment of three new energy transaction lawyers.

Partners John Mauel and Julie Mayo, and senior counsel Jay Stiffler, have represented international companies in major energy and infrastructure projects.

Mauel, Mayo and Stiffler join Norton Rose Fulbright from Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman. The three lawyers focus on the development, financing, acquisition and disposition of energy and infrastructure projects, ranging from oil and gas to LNG to electric power.

Commenting on the appointments, Linda Addison, US Managing Partner, Norton Rose Fulbright, said: “These talented individuals have established themselves as key players in energy transactions, and we are delighted to add John, Julie and Jay in this highly competitive market. The three lawyers have been actively involved in the evolving global LNG industry, and their experience with LNG projects and major transactions includes liquefaction and receiving terminals, associated pipeline facilities, US LNG export projects, US natural gas procurement and LNG sale and purchase agreements.
