Saipem signs deal with Daewoo for onshore LNG projects

According to Reuters, Saipem has signed a strategic agreement with Daewoo E&C Co., which sets out terms for cooperation between the two companies in the onshore oil and gas industry, with a focus on LNG.

Maurizio Coratella, COO of the Saipem Onshore E&C division, said in a recent statement that the deal will combine the assets and expertise of both companies, with regards to the engineering, procurement and construction of onshore facilities.

Commenting on the agreement’s focus on LNG, Coratella stated: “LNG is strategic for us and we are definitively focusing on it to consolidate our onshore E&C activities and results.”
