GTT to provide tank designs for two new LNG carriers for NYK

At the beginning of 2019, GTT has received an order from the Korean shipyard Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) for the tank design of two new 174 000 m3 LNG carriers, on behalf of the Japanese ship-owner NYK.
The tanks of these units will be fitted with the Mark III Flex membrane containment system. The vessels’ deliveries are scheduled between 3Q and 4Q 2021.
Philippe Berterottière, Chairman and CEO of GTT, declared: “We are very pleased to continue our partnership of excellence with Samsung Heavy Industries with the first order of 2019 for the benefit of NYK, an owner with whom we have a very close relationship.”
