Changfeng Energy Inc. has announced that it has started constructing a CNG/LNG refuelling retail station in Sanya City, Hainan Province, China. It is scheduled to be complete and ready for operations in 2016.
The station will meet the natural gas demand from buses, taxis and cars in Sanya City, and is receiving support from the municipal government to lower emissions at a lower cost for vehicle users.
The station will be funded from internally generated cash flow, and will cost approximately US$4.3 million.
The station will have a daily capacity of 30 000 m3.
A Letter of Intent entered between Changfeng and Sanya Public Transit Group claims that the station will be the designated filling station for a total of 200 taxis and 300 public buses owned by the Group.
