OTD completes commissioning of BWTS system for Avenir LNG carrier

Offshore Technology Development (OTD) has completed the commissioning of its latest ballast water treatment system (BWTS) new-build project.
The BWTS was installed on a 7500 m3 LNG carrier with bunkering capability, currently being built by Keppel Offshore & Marine for Avenir LNG, at the Keppel Nantong Shipyard in China.
OTD’s job scope included equipment supply and commissioning of the BWTS.
Notwithstanding the impact of COVID-19, OTD completed the job safely by utilising local resources in China with close supervision from OTD remotely in Singapore.
