The law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has announced the appointment of Poupak Anjomshoaa to partner in the London office.

Anjomshoaa joins from Carbon Holdings, a developer, owner and operator of petrochemicals projects, where she was General Counsel.

Nick Grandage, Norton Rose Fulbright’s Head of Banking and Finance, Europe, Middle East and Asia, said: “I am delighted that Poupak has joined us. Her experience in all aspects of work in the energy sector and broad geographical focus will significantly enhance our offering to clients across our global practice.”

Charles Whitney, a Norton Rose Fulbright partner and Head of Energy, Europe Middle East and Asia, commented: “This is an exciting opportunity for our energy practice. We have always had a strong petrochemicals and downstream oil and gas practice but Poupak's arrival gives us a unique opportunity to quickly expand our practice in Egypt and further strengthen our offering in the Middle East, North Africa and more widely.”

Anjomshoaa said: “Norton Rose Fulbright’s global presence, strong industry experience and first-rate profile in projects and the energy sector provide a very exciting platform for me. I look forward to working with my new colleagues around the world and expanding the petrochemicals practice, alongside the wider power and infrastructure practices.”
