Sinopec Canada receives award

Sinopec Canada - a 10% partner in the Pacific Northwest LNG Project - has announced that it recently received the Gold Business Excellence Award from the Canada China Business Council (CCBC) in the category of Chinese Investment in Canada.
The award was presented at the CCBC's biennial luncheon held in Toronto, Canada, on 2 December 2016.
In a statement, Sinopec Canada said that the independent panel of judges highlighted the company’s cultural integration, community investment and contributions to the Canadian economy in announcing the selection.
Brian Tuffs, Sinopec Canada's Chief Executive Officer (CEO), said: "We are honoured and humbled to receive this award from the CCBC […] We pride ourselves on the collaborative nature of our organisation as we seek to leverage Sinopec's technical expertise in Canada and abroad to maximise the sustainability and profitability of our operations in Canada. Sinopec Canada also would like to take the opportunity to acknowledge the CCBC for its efforts in recognising the successes of many other companies focused on the Canada-China bilateral relationship."
