DOE grants Crowley LNG import authorisation

The US Department of Energy (DOE) has issued an order granting Crowley Petroleum Distribution, Alaska LLC authorisation to import LNG from Canada by truck, in ISO containers on liner cargo vessels and on bulk ocean-going vessels.
Crowley Petroleum Distribution, Alaska LLC filed the application to import up to a combined total volume equivalent to 2.12 billion ft3/d of natural gas in August 2015.
The authorisation shall be effective for a two-year term beginning on 5 October 2015.
