Novatek ships first LNG cargo

Novatek has released a statement claiming that its wholly owned trading subsidiary – Novatek Gas & Power – has successfully shipped its first ever LNG cargo. This signifies the company’s entry in the global LNG market.
The cargo was sourced from the Trinidad and Tobago LNG facility and shipped to port Quintero, Chile.
Lev Feodosyev, Deputy Chairman of Management Board – Commercial Director of Novatek, said: “This first LNG cargo is an important milestone for Novatek to enter the global LNG market. After the launch of the first train of the Yamal LNG project we will enter the LNG market with our own volumes, and gaining spot trading experience is important for us”.
