Novatek to launch small scale LNG facility in the Baltic Sea

According to Reuters, Russia’s Novatek will begin production of LNG at an on-shore facility in the Baltic Sea in February.

Novatek is working with Gazprombank to build the LNG production plant and terminal at the port of Vysotsk in the Baltic Sea. It will have a capacity of 660 000 tpy of LNG per year.

There is the potential for the capacity to be expanded in 2021 to 800 000 tpy.
