Awilco LNG ASA releases contract update

Awilco LNG ASA has released a statement claiming that its tri-fuel diesel electric (TFDE) tanker WilPride has been committed on an eight-month time charter contract to an oil and gas major.

According to the statement, the vessel was constructed in 2013 and has a capacity of 156 000 m³.

The contract is expected to begin in early July this year, contingent upon customary vessel inspection and acceptance by the charterer. Awilco claims that the contract is estimated to contribute to an annualised EBITDA of approximately US$23 million during the charter period.

Axpo and Enagás have launched a new state-of-the-art LNG bunkering vessel, the Alisios LNG, at the port of Huelva in Spain.
