NLNG in discussion with buyers regarding new contracts

The gas will be supplied from the terminal’s first three production units: Trains 1, 2 and 3. Combined, they produce a total of 9 million tpy of LNG. The entire Bonny Island LNG plant has six trains, with an overall capacity of 22 million tpy.
Speaking at the Gastech conference in Japan, a senior official from Nigeria LNG reportedly said: “Trains 1 – 3 are coming back to the market as they are out of contract by 2022. We started to remarket today.”
The official reportedly added that the initial responses have been positive, noting that “there are some who are guaranteed to buy.”
